After a rich and fulfilling 22-year corporate career, during which I worked with and led some of the most reputable IT multinationals, I decided to pursue my dream of building a meaningful enterprise from scratch. A passion for technology and the zest to apply it to solve real-world problems has been a big motivating factor throughout my life. This passion inspired me to start Katabole, a technology venture, which means “Disruption” in Greek. Katabole is focused on creating an exciting future for our world, seeded by technology and driven by possibility-thinking. We pick fantastic people with fresh, disruptive, technology-driven ideas and help convert those ideas into phenomenally big global businesses that challenge and obliterate the status quo. Before Katabole, I successfully co-founded three start-ups and was responsible for strategy, execution and fund raising. My last corporate role was as MD, India & Sub Continent Region with Sybase Software. I also had a successful spell at MindCraft as the CEO and Computer Associate (CA), India as Country Manager for Information Management & Mainframe Solutions - India and SAARC Region. Earlier in my career, I have worked with: • SGI - heading the Business Intelligence and High Performance Computing line of business• SAS India - heading the Manufacturing, Consumer Goods & Retail industry verticals for India & SAARC region respectively• Business Objects - Business Manager for West and North Region As a leader, I have been extremely successful in starting businesses up from scratch, turning around poor performances and taking businesses to the next level, with or without adequate resources. I value ability over experience, and believe in being highly adaptable to change. Empowering people – an organisation’s greatest asset - and giving them ownership of their work has been a key success factor in every role I have handled throughout my career.
