I have 34 years of rich experience in the field of indirect tax administration. 19 years working as Inspector of Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax and last 10 years working as Superintendent of Central Excise & Central GST. Worked in Mumbai Region and Kerala Region. Worked Customs formations like Airport and Air Cargo Complex, dealing with import & export of goods and clearance of passengers. I have very rich experience in the filed of Service Tax and Central Excise and now GST. The work includes granting of registration, verification of premises, verification of manufacturing activities, auditing of records, interpretation of rules, Issue of Show Cause Notice, adjudication of cases within the power of the Superintendent, booking of cases against the tax evaders and avoiders, Assessment/scrutiny of returns, giving proper guidance and help to the assessees and also attending export related work. Conducting of outreach programmes as an awareness programme of GST etc. Took classes to the assessees about GST. I have attended many training programmes at Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore.
