Overseeing and handling of Finance & Accounts function at CMS Computers Ltd which encompassed different business segments, primarily in the e-governance services space, with a turnover of over Rs. 220 crores in FY 2015-16

Dulsco, a Dubai based company encompassing 6 locations in UAE, had a turnover of over Rs. 900 crores in 2015 and is a leading provider of Human resource solutions and Waste management services.  Head of Accounts & Administration of Abu Dhabi which had a turnover of over Rs. 170 crores in 2015. Handling closure of accounts and audit of Abu Dhabi as per timelines. Ensuring Profit & Loss reporting by business unit and handling of business presentations to senior management team as per timelines and frequency. Responsible for preparing detailed budgets by business unit for the region. Instrumental in developing a unique Profitability model by business type for waste management services.

 Head of Controlling for Managed Services which had a turnover of Rs. 375 crores in 2012. Handled business teams of two diverse operating environments with different practices and oriented them to a common working platform.  Ensured Profit & Loss reporting by practice to global and local management teams as per timelines. Instrumental in shifting to a Work unit cost model from service order based cost model for two major practices. Developed a unified rate card to enable commercial support for newly acquired local business markets.

ATG, a global tyre manufacturing group encompassing 2 production facilities and 6 entities had a group turnover of over Rs. 2,400 crores in 2011.  Ensured migration to Microsoft Navision in US & Europe as per plan in the local environment. Took over the charge of Controller for South Africa in 3 days after acquiring business of Galaxy and Primex brand tyres. Setting up a detailed Budgeting & MIS structure including consolidation of accounts for all entities under the group and the Qlikview BI system enabling Sales personnel to view Sales, Inventory and Receivables numbers on a daily basis. Setting up a ‘helpdesk’ to track and settle claims in the agreed time-frame thereby improving customer relations and enabling revenue growth.

Systime group, a global software consulting company encompassing 7 entities handled 6 different practices, was a market leader in the JDE practice and had a group turnover of over Rs. 275 crores in FY 2008-09.  Handled the closure of accounts for all entities under the group for two consecutive years. Instrumental in developing a practice-wise Profit & Loss statement to enable management to focus on the right practice in the right market. Successfully handled the Treasury function for all the entities under the group. Started covering the inward remittance and over a period of 24 months achieved savings of Rs. 2.5 to Rs. 3 crores.  Capably assisted the business to achieve 12% improvement in operating profit over the previous year when revenue grew by 6% during the same period.

Radhakrishna group encompassing 5 entities in the food distribution business handled front-end retail and back-end distribution activities and logistics operations, with a group turnover of over Rs. 150 crores in FY 2006-07.  Handled the closure of accounts for all entities under the group for four consecutive years. Created a robust and detailed Budgeting & MIS reporting structure for all entities under the group. Lead Finance & Accounts team in migration to SAP from multiple systems as per plan. Co-ordination with PE investors to plan funds for wholesale distribution and retail business. Pivotal in raising funds from two banks amounting to Rs. 16.5 crores for a continuing loss - making business. Brain behind creating a separate company Radhakrishna Consumer Services Pvt Ltd and start stores in different areas of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai under this entity to handle the retail market.  Credit of planning and implementing a back office through a Centralized Accounting System to handle store operations. Distinction of developing a Centralized Collection Plan from various units to utilize efficient use of funds. Closely interacted with the Merchandising, Procurement and Inventory handling teams to monitor and ensure planned vs actual margin realizations for different categories.

 Handled the pricing function at the Country office. Was responsible for MIS reporting.

 Handled the backend treasury function involving loans administration, banking and MIS reporting. Make presentations to banks & financial institutions for funding long-term and working capital.

AFL group belonged to the logistics industry and were involved in freight forwarding, trucking, express courier and travel businesses and had a group turnover of over Rs. 600 crores in FY 2000-01. DHL Worldwide belonged to the AFL group until 2001. Successfully generated an annual savings of Rs. 1.95 crores by focusing on vendor development and various economies of procurement for DHL. Played a major role in making a ready reckoner for better pricing of heavy shipments for DHL. Effectively devised a process to track and bill back overseas consignor for shipments abandoned by Indian consignee resulting in annual recoveries of Rs. 30 lakhs for DHL. Distinction of managing projects such as BOM Strategic Network Model based on PRINCE (Projects in Controlled Environment) method of management, Activity Based Costing and Services Recovery for DHL. Played a stellar role in initiating focus on Systems Audit at Corporate for various divisionso Conducting profitability and cost reduction studies and special cases of investigation and fraudso Review of business processes and presentations made to the senior management with recommendationso Payroll system, customer rate master, gratuity and superannuation policies, etc.
