In my capacity as head of Simplification & Digital Transformation Center of Excellence, my responsibility is to completely own the large scale IT Strategy assessment and Inception, legacy modernization / transformation and IT Rationalization initiatives for various customers in Retail, CPG & Travel, Transportation and Hospitality Industry. The size and scale of the transformation projects are very complex and multi-year programs – running thousands of MIPS utilization in Mainframe workloads and also marquee AS400 installations for IBM running very complex and critical workloads.Main job responsibilities include • Thought Leadership/Mind Sharing sessions for C-Suite and senior executives on IT transformation, Legacy Modernization, Mainframe Elimination & the industry trends• Assessing the legacy estate in length and breadth with help of customized and proven assessment framework• Solutioning these projects with Future State Architecture, Methodology, Roadmap, Self-funding proposition with business case, POC/POTs, Data Migration/Archival solutions, Quality Assurance framework, decommissioning strategy for legacy systems, co-existence strategy between legacy and new systems till roll-out, roll-out strategy for new system and Effort Estimation, Cost & Timelines for the transformation journey• Securing the project by demonstrating capabilities and viability of the solution with Proof of Concept or Proof of Technology or Pilot programs by identifying the right scenarios, in-house/third party tools• Defending the solution, effort, cost with customer organization at all levels• Working Closely with the respective account relationship teams to partner with to set-up foundation for the transformation engagement and also providing architectural helpSome of the legacy systems dealt with during this experience include• IBMz Series Mainframe based technology • IBMi Series based AS/400 technology • Client-Server technologies that include PB, Sybase

In my capacity as head of Legacy Modernization Center of Excellence, my responsibility is to completely own any modernization within Legacy systems and Legacy to JEE/.Net architecture. This job also involves owning the solution and delivery of data migrations, Field Expansions, decommission of Legacy systems and language migrations. For inventory system the legacy applications were running on Mainframe environment with IMS as DB. The applications were re-written into DB2 with additional requirements. The re-written system was able to track the inventory real time.
