I empower young men to engage in the life elements that are important to them (school, work, relationships, independent living) so that they can feel strong and confident in their lives. We do this through practical skill building necessary to navigate the fear and overwhelm that stands in their way, and through simple strategies to stay organized and productive. When appropriate, I also engage the parents of the client to help them effectively support their son in ways that nurture his power, autonomy and authenticity.

Private practice that has evolved to focus predominately on providing coaching and mentoring support to young men and to their families. Specializing in young men that struggle in school, work, and their personal lives. Work with clients to clarify their goals, passions and goals, learn how to deal with fear, overwhelm, and difficult emotions, as well as addictive patterns and patterns of avoidance. Focus is on helping young men to feel confident and capable in their own life. Also provide parent coaching to help families learn how to more effectively communicate and support their sons, and how to effectively deal with the challenges of parenting young men.

Oversaw the daily operations of the large, historic residence (housed up to 30 participants) and supervised and supported the mentoring staff around daily tasks, activities, meetings, groups, as well as individual action plans for each participant. Was very involved in coaching and supporting the parents of the participants so as to create positive shifts in the family system.

Worked collaboratively with a program therapist to support each individual participant in creating and implementing their personalized plan while in the program. Provided daily mentoring to the participants that I was directly responsible for, and handled all of the case management for these cases.
