It all started out as pure copywriting: blog posts, web and social networking content, storyboards for videos, and after just 2 months, during the peak of covid, it turned into media training and preparation for FT.com and other online conferences, as well as moderating online webinars for a US ITS professional audience. I hosted a successful series of educational meetups with guests from the telecoms sector, road operators and later turned it into a more professional coding/security meetup. I learned how (and how not) to deal with TechCrunch, was quoted on Ars Technica, and wrote an op-ed piece for Streetsblog that started with a well-prepared cold call. It was super fun working with a US PR agency, that's another level of teamwork. We managed to get a representative survey to back up our message. Gathering the knowledge that I need to do all this is a horizontal job, which means working with all departments, management, research, product development, sales, business unit managers, partners. I'd rather look into boxes to know more than be in one.

I've arrived to Index.hu right after the dotcom crash, when the editorial was about 30 people strong and most people were reading printed newspapers. Jump forward 18 years in time: Index.hu is Hungary's leading news source with more than 100 journalists. I've spent my time there writing about technology and science, and I was lucky to do interviews with some of the greatest minds on Earth, from Shanghai to the Silicon Valley (not with the Pacific shortcut). I've been covering the Hungarian startup scene, trade shows like the Mobile World Congress, CES, IFA, CeBIT, BETT, Maker Faire, IDF, SAPPHIRE, COMPUTEX, Ericsson Business Forum, international press conferences, always open for other adventures.
