I worked for Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, whom represent the 28th district in New York City. In my time working for him, I did research on legislative bill, answer phone calls, take messages, and appointments. I managed his schedule, do data entry, proofread, edit, and file documents. I also held meetings with advocacy groups.

Guinea

During the summer of 2017, I spent three months interning for the United Nations Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights in Guinea. I spent a month working in the Department of Human Rights Promotion and Protection, where I planned and attended meetings with government officials, diplomats, ambassadors and armed forces. I wrote reports of human rights violations and researched cases of human rights violations in the country. I spent another month working in the Administration Department where my assigned tasks included duties such as employees’ payroll, making financial spending spreadsheets, office inventories and human resource duties.

During the Fall of 2016, I interned for Human Rights First, a nonprofit whose mission is to ensure that the United States remains a leader in global human rights. During that time, I maintained database records, researched potential donors and board members, and assisted with event planning and preparation. I provided administrative assistance to the development team.
