Martha utilizes her project management experience and communications training to facilitate the exchange of information between multi disciplinary teams of experts, First Nations, and industry to support integrated environmental management decisions in infrastructure and energy development. In British Columbia (BC), Martha has participated in the formal environmental assessment process for a variety of major development projects including, highways, marine ports, LNG and LPG export facilities, wind energy, and hydroelectric projects. Martha also has experience in public and First Nations engagement and consultation activities in BC’s lower mainland, Prince Rupert area, and south east region of BC. Prior to entering the consulting world in 2013, Martha worked with Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Nova Scotia, developing geospatial tools to support the protection and management of marine Species at Risk. On behalf of the Canadian Wildlife Federation, she applied her expertise in geospatial analysis to the development of watershed models for the protection of fish and fish habitat.
