About Balint Mark Salamon
When I was 4 years old my family received its first computer. I remember sitting in front of the bulky CRT monitor and pressing the button to power in the pc, waiting minutes for Windows 98 to boot up in its noisy sequence of processes. I was instantly captivated by it, wanting to understand how it all worked, that day I promised myself this is what I want to do when I grow up.18 Years later I'm starting to really fulfill that dream, achieving my software development degree in 2020 and writing code ever since. My area of expertise is Python, however I have worked in projects involving Java, C#, Kotlin, JS, VB, and Shell Script.In the past years I mostly worked in automation and data analysis with the Scrum/Agile methodology, using tools like Pandas, Regex, SQL and NoSQL for ETL developement, packages for information storage (JSON, Excel, CSV and Pickle among others), Selenium, Flask and Requests for web/api automation, Unittest for testing, and even some machine learning with PyTorch.During times when I don't have much work to do or I'm waiting for colleagues I love to optimize code that I feel might be faster. Perhaps my biggest achievement during my career might be when I managed to cut down the execution time of a program from an average of two hours to merely three minutes.I speak 3 languages fluently, Hungarian is my mother tongue (albeit a tad bit rusty), Spanish since I've been living in Spain for 15 years now, and English in which I have CEFR Level C1 / Grade B, which I'm striving to improve it on a daily basis.Looking towards the future, I would love to work in a company located in Northern Europe, or one that allows remote work from anywhere in the EU if possible, but I am open to listen to any proposal, so if you or your company is interested in me, please feel free to message me, thank you for reading!

Back End Developer
I have worked on many projects during my time at EY, mostly constituting of process automation and data analysis on Python using Agile and Scrum methodologies. I extracted data from many different sources, including but not limited to PDF via OCR, SQL and NoSQL databases, server APIs Excel, CSV, Json, Pickle, and even some webpages, and then converted the extracted data to the desired file format. Most of the data above mentioned has been extracted through the help of Regex, Pandas, Requests, pyPDF2, Pikepdf, Openpyxl, Xlsxwriter, Xlwings, and many others.I also had to build some very simple webpages and automate others using Flask, Selenium and Requests libraries. These would then be used for testing purposes, either to make sure the webpage wasn't returning something it shouldn't or that our project was working the intended way through the usage of Unit Tests.
