With extensive experience in managing complex projects, Baljeet has honed his skills in stakeholder management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.Currently, he is working in the Capital Markets domain in CIBC, leading a unique yet challenging project called the ‘IBOR Transition’. This initiative involves collaborating with nearly all business units within the bank such as Corporate, Commercial Bank, Global Markets, CIBC Bank USA, teams from Treasury, Risk, Finance, Accounting, and various stakeholders in the Bank. The goal is to identify systems, processes, and contracts impacted by the cessation of global interest rate benchmarks, including LIBORs and CDOR, and ensure these are remediated prior to the cessation date. In June 2023, Baljeet helped the institution successfully navigate through the LIBOR transition where one of the major global interest rate benchmark was discontinued. His next main assignment is to ensure the firm navigates through one of the most significant changes in the Canadian financial markets, the cessation of the major interest rate called CDOR.Whether working on a challenging project, analyzing data to uncover insights, or collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives, Baljeet is always prepared to tackle new challenges and deliver exceptional results.
