Month end reporting of Management Accounts for Head Office

Invoice reconciliations, inputting invoices into the database, adhoc admin duties, reporting to purchase ledger team of any anomalies and resolving as necessary.

• Responsible for the management reporting & financial accounting for retail stores.• Review of ledgers prior to production of detailed monthly management accounts; by reviewing balances & accruals/prepayments for unexpected variances or anomalous postings including correspondence with suppliers.• Investigate postings by exception & adjust as necessary.• Produced detailed analysis of expenditure for each cost heading showing variances to budget & forecast.• Provide input to management accountant as part of budgeting & forecast process.• Ad-hoc analysis from time to time • Produced rolling 12 contribution report to highlight anomalies of overspending against budget at the year end.• Used software such as Cognos, Business Objects & Alphameric on a weekly and monthly basis.• Resolved majority of store queries and reviews petty cash on a weekly basis.• Assisted with reviewing the payroll document on a monthly basis for any anomalies against forecast.
