Responsible for accounting and reporting timelines of 17 DBAG bank branches across India with the help of 12 team members, the role requires one to have an understanding of IFRS, IGAAP and HGB along with various disclosures and requirements of regulatory filing with Central Banks like RBI and Bundesbank. Predominantly the role is to coach and mentor the team and ensure accurate, timely and quality delivery of services provided within a risk-free and controlled environment, to ensure Deutsche Bank’s overall client satisfaction.

• Being the Legal Entity Controller for various AI entities, responsible for end to end accounting, monthly closing & quarterly consolidation and providing various disclosures of such entities per US GAAP.• Responsible for various deep-dives comparing MoM and QoQ P/L and BS numbers.• Variance Analysis on a monthly & quarterly basis for the P/L booked on each product line.• Supporting audit requirements from auditors (KPMG).• Involved in various UAT for sub-ledger, PECS, in order to drive system enhancement and efficiency. Already tested the Oracle Business Intelligence platform to suit AI requirements.• Supervisory review of the cash flows into and out of the Firm Entities’ Citi and Pershing Bank accounts and flagging any aberration from the Firm’s Central Treasury funding norms. • Supporting various internal clients on a monthly/periodic basis such as Basel Reporting team; SOX ORC team; account ownership team et al. • Account Ownership (AO) review for all the balance sheet accounts under my team controllership and appropriately signing off each account balance at the month end.• Review of breaks on revenue and expense line between Front Office & Back Office records (FOBO) for the product lines under my controllership.• Putting the top-side adjustments for selected Business Units for which FRY-7N Form needs to be filed with US Federal Reserve Board (FRB) on a quarterly and yearly basis.• Performing SOX testing for management fees and ensuring any exceptions in testing are fully understood and where appropriate, the SOX control issues are reported and escalated on a timely basis.• International Exposure: In the year 2010 visited the New York office and spent time with the heads of Alternative Investments and transitioned various tasks to India.Specific systems / application knowledge: Essbase, PeopleSoft General Ledger, General Ledger Adjustment (GLAD), Cash Management Engine (CME), Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
