Studio / Manager (contract) Set up the Advertising Agency creative department and business unit.Provided leadership motivation and training to15 staff while making sure the operation ran smoothly,

* Overseeing the day-to-day production of seven of the company’s thirteen newspaper titles. * Field sales across Ireland in the counties where the papers are published. * Managing and running one of the business units, from staffing to accounts across the board. * Implementing new systems and training of 27 staff on those systems.* Developing sales areas of the business units across the counties of Ireland.* Responsible for all aspects of planning and delivery of sales and marketing strategy.* Retained a high profile for the designated areas and established training and appraisal programmes for the sales staff. * Reviewing monthly sales targets of sales teams, to maximise the growth of the newspapers. * Seeking new business opportunities for the group in increase sales. * Support to the sales teams to ensure targets are met. * Handled budgets and ensured targets were met on a monthly/yearly basis.* Successfully brought new business to the group.* Develop a simple distribution plan to maintain the newspapers exposure in all areas of the counties. * Set activity targets for the salespeople, i.e. completed phone calls, face-to-face, meetings, generated leads, leads followed up. Studio /Manager* Appointed to establish manage and run the day to day production of the Advertising agency’s creative studio. * Responsible for setting up a new creative studio, designed to make it a more user-friendly environment.* Installed computers and systems for all staff; each having the latest technology available to streamline the workflow.* Implemented a computer system to house all the agencies material as well as a backup system for the agency’s and their client’s creative advertising work.* Introduced a new costing/charging system which was predated, so a new cost control and tracking system was placed within the studio which was easily followed for final charging to the clients. * Leadership and motivation: training of 20+ staff while making sure the operation runs smoothly, costing all jobs and successfully negotiating with 3rd suppliers and vendors. * Responsible for hiring of new staff and training them to the agency expectations.
