The research work involved study of external applied aerodynamics for aircraft design in transonic regime.

TU Delft Solar Boat Team is a student driven dream team, where a group of students design and manufacture a solar boat and participate in renowned solar boat competitions. The team builds hydrofoil boats that run on solar energy. Once in every two years, the team builds a new boat which participates in the biennial Dutch Solar Challenge, the World Cup in solar boat racing. The team also participates in the annual Dutch Championships and the Solar1 Cup in Monaco. - Worked in the hydrodynamics team to improve the performance of hydrofoils in-order to reduce the drag for the required control-ability and required performance under water- Further, worked on design and assembly of a structure to mount an extra solar panel to obtain the required power- It was a nice team experience, a good platform to learn about group decision making and also to apply the acquired knowledge to practice
