    I worked on active metasurface. One of the works involved research on flexible metasurface. The metasurface is fabricated using an advanced lithography technique called "atomic layer lithography". One of the works involved research on flexible metasurface. The metasurface is fabricated using an advanced lithography technique called "atomic layer lithography". I was able to fabricate nanoslits of width as small as ~ 1 nm on top of PET and PDMS substrate. These types of metasurfaces are capable of modulation of incident electromagnetic waves (Thz, Microwave, optical) completely, enabling application in transformative metasurfaces.Along with this work, I worked on an active surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy platform. Using the template stripping technique, I fabricated a nanotip array of diameter ranging from 30-50 nm on PET substrate on a wafer scale. We could control SERS activity using external stimuli paving the way for an active SERS platform.I also worked on the ultrathin metal film for optical sensing. We defined a characteristic thickness(related to different physical constants) using which we could achieve maximum electromagnetic absorption of 50% using ultra-thin metal films. The tunability of absorption can lead to high precision optical sensing. Show less

    I was a senior research fellow on INDO-Korea project on "growth and characterization of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires for various applications". The primary research was to synthesize micrometer-long and aligned ZnO nanowires using a limited-volume heating method. We were able to grow as long as ~5 um nanowires, suitable for gas sensing. The materials were characterized by x-ray diffraction, FESEM imaging, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
