Operational responsibility for production of newspapers for northern United Kingdom. Producing a range of different newspaper titles (including Daily Mirror, Independent, Manchester Evening News) 24/7 and 365 days per year, between 12 and 14 million papers produced and shipped every week. Accountable for budget and day to day management of site.Responsible for installation and start-up of over £45M of new equipment and training, following similar equipment installation at Polestar. Project completed on time and to budget delivering full colour capability.

Polestar is a high volume magazine printing group based in the UK. The Leeds site employed over 400 people in a 24/7 environment. This role included responsibility for improvement of site operations at the Leeds facility and support for implementation at other Polestar sitesAlso during this work the site was upgraded with new capital equipment exceeding £50MM in value. Role included the establishment of a lean layout for the site maximising machine OEE and employee utlisation. Also required the establishment of best practice equipment care and standards using TPM and SMED techniques.

Responsible for day to day production output of the ACCO manufacturing and assembly facility in Peterborough. Site consisted of metal forming, cutting and fabrication, paint plant, and final assembly cells for office equipment and furniture.Took this role following following lean implementation resulting in consolidation of sites in Europe achieved by reducing footprint.
