Through education and various professional experiences, I have kindled my passion and honed skills that have supported me pursuing my career in Geographic Information Systems. My specialty and main interest lies in GIS, with three years of remote and urban emergency medicine under my belt.Career GoalsPursue a career in Geographic Information System mapping and analysis that is both challenging and rewarding. Utilizing leading-edge GIS technology and software, I seek to assist in real-time innovation and problem solving for businesses, governmental agencies or non-profit organizations. My GIS background and advanced dynamic mapping, geospatial analysis, and data organization capabilities provide adaptive and exceptional solutions for unlimited environments.My KnowledgeI received my bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University and the Huxley College of the Environmental in Geographic Information Science and Archaeology (2019). The focus of my studies included:• ESRI software (ArcGIS PRO) applications to Environmental Science in the Pacific Northwest• Remote sensing and GIS studies of satellite imagery• Culture resource management (cultural relations between environment and local peoples and their resources), historical preservation and an internship in museology studiesThroughout my education, I was selected to attend ESRI International User Conference. The courses and programs at the conference provided me exposure and training with the most up-to-date software and problem-solving applications.I earned my Emergency Medical Technician certification while between terms and worked part-time as an EMT with Cascade Ambulance and Amphibious Medics, and as a Wilderness Medicine and CPR instructor for Remote Medical International. During my time with these agencies, I learned to provide effective and considerate patient care as well as leadership skills. These tasks were often performed under pressure and stress with sleep and environmental factors present.Volunteer ExperienceIn addition to my academic studies, I volunteered with Empact Northwest, a non-profit organization based in Bremerton, WA that specialize in Urban Search and Rescue (US&R). During my time with Empact Northwest, I deployed to Hurricane Florence (North Carolina, U.S.) in 2018, and supported the team’s disaster-relief efforts.
