I'm an architect and I love architecture. My career of twenty years revolved around the love and lust for excellence in a physical environment which I always wanted to contribute improving. I worked in Yapı-Endüstri Merkezi (Building Information Centre) for fourteen years. My job was to build platforms between architects, designers etc. with the building material producers. During my time there I was in the centre of architecture, publishing, events for 12 years which translated into a huge network and sense of awareness about the architecture and construction business globally. I'm a nominator of Aga Khan Awards for Architecture since 2008. Award winner Ipekyol Textile Factory designed by Emre Arolat was my nomination in 2010 cycle. I'm a judge in the World Architecture Festival since 2015, a jury member of Arkitera Young Architect Prize in 2019. For the last ten years, I'm a curator, speaker, moderator and presenter of architectural events. After 12 years, I translated my expertise form Yapı-Endüstri Merkezi to the construction materials industry and became Assistant General Manager of Seranit, a Turkish porcelain tile producer. I changed service and marketing tools and it paid off. The revenue of the project market increased by %200 and the unit prices raised by %5. After Seranit, I was offered a job by a developer, Ferko construction. As a general coordinator, I managed sales and marketing as well as business development. I was responsible for the development of 100.000 sqm residential units. I held an architectural competition, worked on international brand agreements (Armani Casa, Ralph Lauren Home Collection, Fendi. My service in Ferko marks an important threshold which I managed B2C marketing as well as B2B. Sparing time from my professional life, I wrote and presented a documentary about architecture for TRT Belgesel called İzdüşüm which was focusing on the traces of "isms" in Turkey. I'm still an Adjunct Professor at Medipol University and also a marketing consultant for August Technology. I worked 360 degrees in the construction business and am very competent in marketing, sales and business development. I know architects, industry, development and project management by first hand. I believe it is very rare that someone who is invested in architecture and culture has extensive expertise in sales and marketing. I believe genuinely that I can contribute to architects who want to expand as well as producers who want to increase their market share.

As General Coordinator, I was responsible for business development, marketing, sales and design. I coordinated the sales and rental processes of ongoing projects including Ferko Signature Levent and Ferko Line Kağıthane. Also, I was responsible for developing 100.000 sqm land in three parcels in Gokturk, Istanbul. I led an architectural design competition and finalized architectural design as well as interior and landscape design processes. I communicated the brand agreement with third parties including Ralph Lauren Home, Fendi Casa, Armani Casa. I managed marketing, PR, Advertising and Digital Agencies. Also, I coordinated the launch of Ferko Signature, it's tenant relationships, building management team as well as the art space and coworking hub Assembly. Under my coordination, we managed to sign lucrative rental agreements with Nike, Yemek Sepeti, McKinsey, Franklin Tempelton and Akbank. Also, I led the placement of a public artwork at the lobby of Ferko Signature and commissioned Refik Anadol, Winds of Istanbul, his very first permanent digital sculpture in Turkey. I was fully responsible for developing new projects, new contacts and market as well as raising brand awareness for a company in a new league. I successfully managed Ferko Signature in all aspects, Ferko Line was launched, three new projects were developed from scratch from their architectural design to their sales strategy. I signed an agreements to brand the residential projects with Armani Casa and Ralph Lauren Home Collection and communicated all process. I strategized and carried out a marketing plan for residential projects in three different segments for three different sites. -
Assistant General Manager - Bussiness Development And Project SalesSeranit Grup Feb 2015 - Dec 2016Seranit Group is a ceramic and porcelain tiles production company. My role as Assistant General Manager was to plan, manage and oversee the sales and marketing processes aiming to increase the market share of the company. Seranit was already a well known and favoured brand among contractors and buyers. The stakeholders like architects, engineers, designers and developers were not familiar with the brand and thus spec business was low. The references for prestigious projects were very few. The marketing team did not share target with the sales team. There was no methodology and system for B2B services. To increase sales and brand awareness, it was crucial to penetrate this market by increasing service quality. This was only possible with a transformation in sales and marketing methodology.I designed and established a system to increase spec-business, communicating professional stakeholders; architects, interior designers and developers. I built and mentored creative, vibrant sales and marketing team from scratch, led designing all communication language as well as the medium. I managed the marketing team in a sales-oriented manner whose main objective was supporting the sales team, helping them to reach actual leads. I designed a manual for our sales team for giving the best service in the shortest timeframe possible. I established a showroom for B2B services which served as an event and information centre for professional consumers. I led the digital transformation of sales and marketing processes, built a CRM system and designed a methodology for sales and marketing teams sharing the same target in B2B spec business. I also managed the design team which designs and implements dealer showrooms as well as designing projects for sales teams to support sales operations.During my work in Seranit group despite the global and national volatility and recession, me and my team managed to raise the revenue by %200 and increase the unit price by %5. -
