I am an Assistant Research Fellow of National Engineering Research Center of Geographic Information System, China University of Geosciences (CUG), Wuhan, Hubei province. I have been devoting myself to study Geographic Information Science over ten years. My main research area is map generalization, spatial data multi-scale representation, spatial cognition and reasoning, and spatio-temporal data analysis.I am also one of the developers of China's first commercial GIS software——MapGIS, which is designed and developed by the GIS research team of CUG, and widely used in the fields of land use, agriculture monitoring, traffic management, forest management, smart city, geology, mineral resources, public security and etc. My main contribution to the MapGIS is that I was in charge of the development of map generalization subsystem.
