Executive Officer of a General Support Aviation Battalion with 531 Soldiers. Trained and supervised the staff to support the Battalion’s critical wartime mission during combat operation in Iraq. Developed and ensured all administrative, security, logistics, maintenance, budget, property accountability, safety and readiness programs effectively supported aircraft, vehicles, rolling stock, associated facilities, and equipment worth in excess of $300 million dollars. • Planned and executed the safe movement of a 530+ personnel unit to and from Iraq during combat operations with zero reduction in operational effectiveness.• Managed the safe execution of 6,000 combat missions, including 1,600 medical evacuations; resulted in the safe movement of 2,500 patients, 50,000 passengers and transport of 10 million pounds of critical cargo.• Directed and supervised maintenance of 32 aircraft; resulted in exceptional operational readiness rate that supported over 6,000 missions without fail. • Hand-selected to serve as deputy commander of a 250-man aviation task force deployed to Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana, in support of rescue and relief operations following Hurricane Katrina; completed 100% of all missions, encompassing the movement of over 1,725 civilians, 200,000 pounds of cargo and equipment, and most importantly the movement of 2.1 million pounds of dirt to shore up the damaged levees of New Orleans.• Prepared the Battalion for both the Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization inspection and Forces Command Aviation Resource Management Survey; achieved 100% excellent ratings in every area.
