About Barry Porter

I have had a wide range of experiences after attending college. From being in law enforcement to owning my own claims handling firm for 35 years.ADA of the Southwest only had one location in 1986 when I purchased it. It has grown to 13 locations over 3 states and handles thousands of claims every year. We have a diverse and mature staff that handles any situation. There have been many challenges such as migrating to all the new technologies in the industry, the many mergers, and the economy, until the purchase of my firm by Sedgwick in 2021.From my experience in providing staff for so many years, I decided to partner with Express Employment Professionals beginning in 2013 to meet staffing needs in other industries as well. We were able to assemble a seasoned mature staff that got the job done and made excellent decisions. We consistently won top honors in our region and grew exponentially. I sold the Franchise to another successful owner in 2019.I look forward to the days ahead with optimism being part of Sedgwick as they move into the driver's seat as the largest TPA in North America. Sedgwick's commitment to becoming the primary claims service provider in the market is evident by its investment and talent acquisition. Our future is bright, and I look foward to contibuting towards that goal.
