Acting EC-05 with Strategic Policy team. Joined the Strategic Policy team on an at-level assignment as an analyst and have since taken on successive, increasingly senior acting positions. Strategic Advice: represents Canadian Heritage at interdepartmental fora; regularly provides strategic advice to senior leadership in range of issues including FPT engagement, stakeholder relations, public service management, equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility; as part of the department’s GBA+ challenge function, provides substantial policy feedback for key policy documents including Budget Proposals, Memoranda to Cabinet and Treasury Board Submissions. Briefings: led the Ministerial Transition exercise for the July 2023 cabinet shuffle including the development of placemats and briefing binders for incoming ministers; provides oral and written briefing at the ADM, DM DG, and Director levels; drafting monthly Cover Note for DMA’s participation in the Public Service Management Advisory Committee (PSMAC); development of a summary table for Budget Day 2023 based on departmental priorities and key issues used by senior management in presentations and briefings. EC-03: One year assignment developing policy skills with the Strategic Policy and Horizontal Integration division.

Strategic Advice: advised senior management and internal partners on tools, communication products, internal policy, and program delivery from an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens; represented Canadian Heritage at interdepartmental for a (i.e. TBS-led meetings).
