About Baraa Hatoum
Syrian & Lebanese social activist, psychologist, and Arab region trainer started as a young volunteer member in the juvenile prison center in Damascus in 2009, continued to support refugees in psychological support and social awareness programs for adolescents and children between 2013 and 2016 by establishing a social-cultural center in Damascus countryside to build dialogues and integrate between different groups of society. Believed in the importance of non-violence, community dialogue, and youth empowerment as a concept for social change and worked for 5 years as a project manager for several Syrian social projects with a partnership with “Swiss peace, British council, and GIZ). Currently completing a project that works on empowering youth with conflict resolution tools and tools for advocacy for local and international peacebuilding issues with Mobaderoon network. Lastly, “clinical psychologist” provide a variety of psychological services with several associations in Lebanon.
