The Pulmonology clinic operation encompasses 12 physicians, 8 nurses, 4 techs and completes up to 115 appointments per day. The ICU operation included 30 physicians, >200 nurses, covering 72 ICU beds (largest isolated, single unit ICU in the UAE) with an average bed occupancy >85%. Responsible for developing and managing strong relationships across the institution with a focus on nursing, pharmacy, allied health, finance and marketing. Integral part of ICU expansion lead team to activate 24 mixed use beds in first year and 24 additional Neuro ICU beds in year 2 of operations. Act as Institute Administrator for both institutes, and manage budgets for respective institutes. Present at monthly and quarterly business reviews to C-suite executives on patient volume trends, new programs, quality metrics and budgets. Manage 11 caregivers in support of the Emergency Medicine and Respiratory and Critical Care Institutes. Co-organized a transatlantic conference on pulmonary hypertension including sponsorship sourcing. ● Successfully contributed to expanding pulmonology clinic volume to >100 completed visits per day ● Internally streamlined fixed wing provider access for patient air transport which resulted in >$50k savings (or 30%) over 2 medical evacuations since implementation.● Achieved cost savings of $ 120k+ per year and 1000+ man hours (0.5 FTE) by rolling out hospital wide electronic physician scheduling platform "Amion" for 230+ MD's across 40+ specialties, with 22k+ views per month.● Reduced annual time spent on extracting data daily (1,170 hours/0.56 FTE) and analyzing data (520 hours/0.25 FTE) through the implementation of a big data business intelligence project that overlaid “EPIC” patient demand and “Amion” physician capacity data visualized via a “Tableau” platform, automated a daily live view for outpatients’ utilization historically, and forecasted 4 months out. Hit most viewed dashboard across 33 enterprise wide dashboards.● Tripled the number of contracts signed with global medical assistance agencies in 2016 in order to drive international patient volume as part of a self-initiated business development exercise.

Established blueprint operating manuals for standing up the Emergency Medicine and Respiratory and Critical Care Institutes. Oversaw team selecting, design, development and delivery phases for 17 clinical cross specialty scenarios of mock operations. Initiated and drove the implementation of healthy food stream of employee health & wellness.● Introduced a user-friendly one-page snapshot template for accurately displaying onboarding physicians to our investor, Mubadala.● Standardized blood unit utilization across 4 institutes, integrating 900+ CPT coded procedures/surgeries against 3 benchmark health systems which contributed to the institution consuming 10% less than national average (MSBOS). ● Co-developed business case to support the implementation of a clinic wide queuing system with a record patient turnover of 120 an hour.● Was regularly sought as the “Nutrition Champion”, co-initiating, designing and implementing a healthy food pilot while measuring progress with KPI’s as part of the larger employee health and wellness initiative. ● Deftly supported the development of new employee H&W CCAD protocols, strictly complying with HAAD regulations (healthy food pilot).● Implemented innovative think cell plugin use for PowerPoint which was subsequently adopted for all C-level presentations.

Examined the healthcare regulatory environment and uncovered of the demand / supply status as well as how a competitive analysis of a major GCC country is a critical part of a due-diligence for a private equity hospital group acquisition. Base lined a GCC governmental office operating model and benchmarked against royal households as well as major foundations.● Interviewed key rehab stakeholders & studied 7 complex global best practice rehab models in view of refining a GCC national rehab strategic framework.● Developed the complete financial & operating model for a 350-bed academic & tertiary care hospital on a major GCC university campus.● Led a highly productive medical devices stream as part of a high-level 5-year strategic plan for a major GCC regulator● Conducted well-received due-diligence on behalf of a private equity firm for a medical device manufacturing co., Oman.
