As director of the PMO, I manage the complete project portfolio of Sýn, guiding projects to successful outcomes in line with best practices in project management. Program Manager at Marel, supporting programs and projects, as needed.Programs and projects included starting up a customer portal for Marel, establishing the master data infrastructure for the spare parts business, with the requisite business, process, and system support, a major transformation of the global supply chain in a program that concluded 16 projects in four workstreams delivering a dedicated supply chain for aftermarket, and aligning sales processes with a CPQ solution.Leadership role for projects and programs, including managing risks, timelines, scoping, communication, and change management, as well as comprehensive resource and priority/timeline alignments with other programs and projects within Marel. One of my key strengths enabling success is communication. Marel is a multicultural matrix organization going through multiple global changes, and keeping speed is a dynamic effort requiring excellent leadership, teamwork, and stakeholder management. I set program standards, processes, priorities, and alignments, and supported and coached my team as needed.On program level, I drive activities and keep focus on the core strategic objectives, support and advise on strategic level, and provide options and reporting to inform executive decision making. In project management, I am more hands on with daily activities, coordinating and problem solving, and managing administrative tasks in e.g. Jira and MS Project.Also contributed to a global project management team giving guidelines and support to the wider organization for best practices in project management within the company.

Co-founder of Álfur beer. Álfur is an innovative new brewery, based in Iceland. At Álfur we create beer from locally sourced ingredients that would otherwise go to waste, reducing food waste and resulting in a unique and tasty beer.Defined the concept from initial idea to business model and business plan, co-created the company mission, values, and strategy, feasibility study and analyses. I led the project of starting up the company, from idea to market, bringing in the necessary collaborators and partnerships along the way, seeking funding, publicity and promotion, supporting expertise in various fields, etc. With value focused priorities, the team was able to bring this from the first idea in June 2018 to launching the first product to market in February 2019. Since then, ongoing product development, process development, scaling the business and getting it up and running fully was also a rapid and iterative process.
