Bridging the gap between architectural design and building performance studies, Tahsin Baran Kazdal is an architectural designer with a great level of technical and analytical skill in the field of environmental design. He studied in Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, UK to gain a deeper understanding in the field of sustainability and environmental design. Experienced in BIM and site construction supervision, he worked as a BIM architect in the construction of Kuwait Airport Terminal 2 project for 2.5 years alongside Foster+Partner. The mega-project in Kuwait was a Revit-based project which gave him the opportunity to work on different architectural elements and explore different fields. This allowed him to be involved in a multidisciplinary construction process, being around MEP consultants, other disciplines and sub contractors. He participated in the design development process of the water feature with a glass parametric surface, dealing with manufacturers for buildability and assembly. Moreover, he optimized the initial design for cost-efficiency and sustainability of using 100% recycled glass. His involvment in large scale project allowed me to develop my architectural abilities to effectively handle a diverse range of design tasks.Overall, he is dedicated in exploring innovative designs followed by a human centric and environmental approach in the built environment.
