• Led a Proposal & Tendering team to introduce a product line on catalytic NOx and CO reduction for a new market in the Oil & Gas industry. • Led a cross-functional team to reduce capital cost by >15% for a $30 MM NOx reduction process on a $250 MM flare gas reduction project in the Middle East• Developed and managed product innovation activities including 5-year NPD project plan. Initiated market research studies and analyzed findings to understand customer and market opportunities. Acted as a liaison between R&D, engineering, and business development teams to develop new product lines and improve existing product ideas. • Supervised 3 NPD programs on post combustion CO2 capture with a core-team of 8 managers from 4 different global competence centers. Consolidated resource and administration of 3 R&D programs in to 1 and reduced overall program cost by 10%

• Data-driven analytics -Managed multiple international Pilot plant validation project contracts and executed international Pilot plant validation projects at external customer power plant facilities. Project value of ~$2-15 MM in Norway, France, Sweden and US. • Developed a strategy and championed a 10-member cross–functional team from half-way when the existing leadership team disintegrated. Learned a new CO2 capture technology, analyzed existing pilot plant data, obtained a detailed understanding of onsite customer requirements and constraints, convinced the customer through analytics on project realities and implemented a new testing strategy for a $15 MM pilot plant project in Norway• Mentor to Chemical Process Scientific Discipline. • Led an R&D team of 2 research engineers, 4 operators and 2 site operation managers to validate an amine-based CO2 capture technology that was jointly developed with The Dow Chemical Company• Analyzed the existing workflow in a test facility and identified areas of inefficiency. Teamed with HR, Engineering and Operations to redesign and implement a new testing strategy that resulted in > $2 MM savings. Efforts benchmarked as a model and were implemented in 3 different global Pilot plant projects

• Member of a cross–functional team that invented and validated a new process for CO2 capture. Developed and validated the process models to demonstrate >30% reduction in energy demand, which moved Alstom CO2 technology to #1 worldwide in utility consumption. Recipient of 2010 Alstom Innovation Award, Finalists trimmed down to five teams out of 187 submissions and 640 participants from more than 23 countries• Organized pilot plant campaigns for commercialization of amine-based CO₂ capture technology. Served as a technical liaison between R&D and the design group and as a process modeling group leader. • Developed models and simulation tools for CO2 capture processes. Mentored 10-member simulation team in US, Germany and Sweden. Recipient of 2008 Managing Director Award, < 5 awards a year from 350 candidates• Subject matter expert for process modeling and simulations (Aspen, ProTreat, PPS, ProMax etc.) for gas treating with amines. Developed in-house gas treating simulation tool for CO2 capture with amines.
