Most of the photos were taken of the wildlife in my backyard and last year, one of them was posted in the April/May 2014 National Wildlife Magazine on the last page. I recently went on an Eco Elk Tour in Waynesville, NC and had the wonderful opportunity to photograph photos of a herd of Elk. The cow elk had their babies with them, which was a great treat, and the bull elks occupied the field across the road from the cows and their babies. They only come out of the woods in the early morning and at dusk - we went at dusk. Our Tour Guide was Esther Blakley, Cataloochee Valley Tours and she was incredible! She is fun, knowledgeable about the history of the area and the relocation of the Elk and she is very patient.
