I have a number of roles that all intertwine somewhat... My main role is as Family Support Facilitator for Drug ARM, working with families who have a loved one with substance dependence, I also host information sessions for groups and individuals. I'm an Integrated Mental Wellness Coach, which means I use various modalities and focus on each individual client that comes to me for assistance in wanting more out of their life, however that looks for them. I have worked with people from various industries including members of parliament, truck drivers, housewives, mine workers, musicians ... I facilitate Sound Healing Journeys with other amazing healers in my network monthly where we play with energy, breathwork, reiki and more ... I am an extremely passionate and active ambassador and member of a number of committees locally in the Suicide awareness and prevention space including Real Mates Talk , Whitsunday Suicide PreventionNetwork, Run for MI Life , StandBy Support After Suicide aswell as actively volunteer for some amazing community projects which light my soul up When I began my coaching career, I was asked "who is it you want to help" ... I said "everyone" ... I was told I need to know my niche, again, it's still "everyone" I sit with this often, but the answer still is I want to help everyone! And truth is, I am and have been.... To so many people I'm known as "Aunty Barb" See, there's not one demographic of people who are more suicidal than others ... it affects EVERYONE!In my speaker roles where I present lived experience talks around mental health, addiction, suicide, in my online interviews and chats it's all for EVERYONE! In my world no one misses out, Aunty Barb is here for you all and here for all of it! It lights me up so much when I impact someone so much that the fire is lit inside them again , they go out and create a new life for themselves.... they live again!
