Working with all ages, families with children who are experiencing lack of basic needs. Hillcrest opens their hearts and their doors to those who are in need of help. I learned so much from each one of the individuals I came in contact with during my time of working with the Hillcrest residents. I thought I was there to give, but yet each one of them gave me so much in return. We also helped residents with budgeting, and were able to help with groceries by accessing a food pantry there on sight. Helping people connect the dots, and reach people who can then be able to empower themselves to get back on track with life.

This was a short term, intern position which gave me great exposure to the non profit world and how they were passionate about making a difference in the community. Most of their people were volunteers in the organization. Feeding on the drive and purpose of those volunteers was a amazing experience that we all encountered.Processing donations, recording funds in computer for tracking, and created deposits. Generated reports to Accountant. Also generated thank you cards to donors for recognition of their contributions.

This was a fast paced environment where sales was depending on the sales support team to research, resolve, and recreate a solid foundation of customer satisfaction. The facility provided a place for seniors to come for a discounted noon meal. Children and adults of all ages came to be involved in a variety of different classes, as well as exercise programs. The first point of contact via phone or in person was a vital key to an example of how the community center was open to all people seeking to nurture their physical and mental wellness.
