What drives me is being a part of a large helping profession serving those in need to overcome challenges. I believe in the power of prevention. As a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, I equip the public with tools to identify mental health symptoms in loved ones and to have the confidence to lean in to support.With over 30 years in the behavioral health field, I've successfully led teams through mergers and organizational restructuring, developed new programs tailored to specific population needs, and managed changes in levels of care to improve access and promote independence.In my professional life, I value bringing energy and humor into the workplace as well as listening, validation, and responsiveness to urgent needs with calm and patience. Balance and self-care are essential for effectiveness and sustainability in our demanding field.I bring these same values to my personal life. I love spending time with my family and friends.
