About Barbara Alonso

Helping others is something I truly enjoy. Providing support to tuberculosis study sites, managing a large project, or using science communication to share how researchers are combating citrus disease - these are some examples of how I draw from my administrative and creative expertise to contribute to my workplace. I tend to wear many hats at the jobs I have held, which has taught me to think outside the box to find solutions. I take pride in a job well done, and in having a strong work ethic. Having been trained as an artist, I value the importance of being detail-oriented, while still keeping the big picture in view. My love of learning extends beyond the workplace. I enjoy traveling for the education it provides, and gaining new perspectives. Visiting local art and cultural festivals with family and friends is a favorite pastime as well. I look forward to both sharing my skills, and gaining new insights, wherever I go.
