As Reading Specialist, I work closely with teaching staff to implement successful reading practice and to monitor student growth. I develop, manage, and celebrate the individual reading growth of students through my annual Book Walk and Reading Incentive Program. I support and am a resource for instruction with parents and staff. I manage the school Response to Intervention Team (RTI), and I am the School Test Coordinator responsible for security and implementation of state and district testing. I present current practice through model lessons, district presentations, and collaboration with district administration and staff. In addition, I supervise busing and the school safety patrol.
