An accomplished public policy, government affairs, communications executive with expertise in building, maintaining and leveraging strategic relationships. More than 30 years of experience in regulatory, policy, and public affairs, working in both public and private sectors in Atlantic Canada. Often described as passionate and enthusiastic, I am fond of saying you have no right to complain about something unless you are willing to do something to help change it. I am Chair of the Canada - Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (soon to be the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Energy Regulator (CNSOER). Before taking on the role of Chair, I sat on the Boards of four private renewable energy companies. I am an active volunteer in the community, having chaired or been a director of numerous not-for-profit Boards and a university, as well as chaired several world, national and regional sailing championships. Currently, I am Vice-Chair of the Board of the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia (CFNS), sit on the Board of Sail Canada and am past-Chair of the Board of Directors for Sport Nova Scotia.
