Financial Planning/Divorce Financial Advisor, Charlotte, NCA Drexel University graduate, Barbara earned a B.A. in Architecture and began her professional career working as an architect in both residential and commercial design. Aspiring to build a business, she then went on to own and operate an interior design and custom furniture company located abroad. With a desire to return to the U.S., she used her international experience running the financial side of her business and working directly with the public to help others by becoming a Financial Advisor. She holds her AIF® certification (Accredited Investment Fiduciary) which helps ensure she'll adhere to Prudent Practices when serving as an investment fiduciary. Barbara focuses in working with women in transition –widowhood, layoffs, inheritance and divorce with a specialty in planning, wealth management, retirement and cash flow planning. Being affected by divorce at a young age and seeing the impact on her mother, she decided to become a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. In addition to working with Cannon Advisors, Barbara is the founder and CEO of Bell Divorce Advisors, a divorce financial planning firm. She is passionate about helping individuals and couples negotiate an equitable division.
