The daily newspaper is produced one week of each year on the grounds of the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh convention and fly-in. I cover a variety of stories, although I do focus on news, features and profiles.

I taught a variety of classes for the Department of Journalism depending on need, including: · Writing for the Media · Editing · Professional Journalism Internship · Advertising, Copy, Layout and Production · Principles of Advertising In addition, as internship coordinator, I: · Organized mock interviews between students and professionals in the field · Contacted employers via phone and job fairs to discuss possible internship opportunities for students · Conducted on-site visits with internship employers on an as-needed basis • Worked with students to improve their resumes and cover letters so they can find jobs and internships; and • Reached out to develop relationships with new employers.

I coordinated a high school journalism conference held each spring at UW Oshkosh that brings together 400-plus students and nearly 50 professionals from throughout northeastern Wisconsin. In addition, we offer newspaper and yearbook contests and year-round member benefits, including journalism teacher resources and video podcasts.

MARRIAGE magazine's aim was to serve as a resource for married couples on every level. I wrote a regular column and feature stories for the magazine, edited stories for length, content, grammar and AP style, worked with contributors, and more.

Daily newspaper with circulation of 25,000. Duties included: · Assigning stories for 16-person staff · Coordinating coverage between local, regional and feature desks · Editing copy · Working closely with reporters on in-depth projects · Handling complaints · Filling in for the managing editor in his absence, overseeing newspaper pagination and production

Reported on city, state and national politics. I was named assistant city editor in 1988. Duties included designing and paginating daily pages and assigning and editing stories.
