Born in Italy, designer Barbara Bonner considers herself a nomad and a free spirit. These qualities, along with her nurturing and creative sides plus a passionate drive to be successful are the very basis of her brand values. Her journey in life has led her to design signature leather and fringed bags for women such as herself: strong, independent, sensual and stylish.Barbara’s journey begins with creative influences over her personal life from a very young age – she comes from three generations of jewellery designers and her grandmother was an amazing circus performer, who was known to be stylish even as she rode through a ring of fire. Barbara initially chose to ignore her roots (and her true calling) and instead opted to do a psychology degree to follow in her parents’ more traditional footsteps, although she was always making clothes and bags in her spare time whilst studying.Later on, she completed a Masters in PR and communication and finally gave in to her heart, hotfooting it to London to study fashion at the prestigious Central St Martins. While the path to this point may have not always been clear, the skills and knowledge she picked up on the way have helped Barbara become the creative entrepreneurial woman she is today. Her namesake brand was born on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza – where Barbara spends her summers – in 2009 and is a testament to her talent and passion.During Summer 2018 after the opening of her second flag ship store Barbara decided was time to ove on and become an Expander Mentor and a life coach .Her shop in Ibiza , BB's Temple, is still active ad open , however just like her , it is undergoing an evolution. The philosophy behind the Temple remains strong and focused; the space and everything in it remains very important to Barbara .
