I am a dedicated senior in my final semester at Texas Tech University (TTU) in Lubbock, where I am pursuing a degree in Nutrition Science and Dietetics with the aspiration of becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. After earning my B.S., I plan to further my education by pursuing an M.S. in Public Health.In my current role as a research assistant in the College of Human Sciences, I have successfully contributed to several impactful projects, including conducting thematic analysis for a large cross-sectional survey and developing a manuscript for publication in an academic journal. My hard work and dedication have been recognized, as I recently secured first place at the Obesity Research Institute Research Poster Competition.As a TrUE Scholar, I have gained valuable experience in coordinating and administering nutrition intervention education for high school and undergraduate students involved in the HEALTH and FINE research studies. In addition, I proudly serve as the President of the Student Nutrition Organization (SNO), where I previously held an officer position for one year. My commitment to the field is further demonstrated by my over 100 hours of combined internship and community service experience, which includes supporting the TTU Athletics Student Internship.I am seeking opportunities that allow me to leverage my skills in nutrition research, community outreach, and education. With my background in thematic analysis, program coordination, and leadership, I am prepared to make a meaningful contribution to any team focused on improving public health and nutrition.In a previous role as a Diet Tech at St. Teresa Nursing Home in El Paso, TX, I utilized my ServSafe manager certification. This role helped me develop the tact and compassion necessary for any healthcare setting. I pride myself on being friendly and welcoming, skills that I apply in my front desk position at QC Kinetix.
