I have gained many years of experience in accounting and financial statements, dealing with the drafting of Statutory Financial Statements and its related Notes. I was also in charge of Income Tax Return, Local National Documentation for Transfer Pricing and Finance compliance (L231, Sarbanes&Oxley, Group Policies) purposes. Responsibilities included documentation for Corporate Bodies (Board of Directors, Board of Auditors, Auditors) and the preparation of Group reporting.

During this period, I was responsible for the accounting management and control of the three companies of the Diageo Group in Italy: distribution, production and holding. Moreover, I was in charge of treasury: deposits, loans, supplier financing, credit assignment, international netting, cash pooling.

I had fully responsibility, for the Diageo Group companies in Italy, of the accounts’ reconciliation and analysis, bank reconciliations and customer and supplier balances, the preparation of reports to support statutory financial statements and tax declarations, such as UNICO, VAT, control of the INTRASTAT declaration, CONAI payment. I also dealt with monthly and quarterly VAT payments, the management of cost centers and assets with the analysis of the documentation relating to increases and decreases and depreciation quotas. Moreover, I took care of control of registrations and payments of T&E, creation and management of supplier and customer records, control of the accounting of purchase and sales invoices, management of invoice correction notes (credit notes), management of payments to suppliers and collections from customers, issuing of self-invoices and credit notes for VAT recovery, control of supplier and customer subledgers.

In my first role with Diageo, I was in charge of general entries, bank reconciliations, evaluation of finance suppliers, booking of suppliers’ invoices, managing the taxation of company benefits.
