About Barbara Danko

Nursing: I have worked in the nursing profession for 27 years. I started my career in nursing as a Certified Nurses Aid and advanced to a Licensed Practical Nurse. As an LPN I worked in the geriatric field and behavioral health nursing. During an interim period I worked in a Health Maintenance Organization in the Customer Service area as both a Customer Service Representative and in a Supervisory position. While I appreciated the perspective of Customer Service in healthcare my real passion was nursing. I renewed my LPN and returned to the geriatric field and behavioral nursing. In order to advance the care that I could give my patients, I went back to school and obtained my Bachelor of Nursing in Science degree and passed the NCLEX to become a Registered Nurse. I am currently continuing my work as a Registered Nurse in the behavioral health setting.
