Provided support to PSM411 (Surface Ship ASW Combat Systems Program Office) thru a combination of development and routine duties in the areas of program management and administrative management. Compiled plans submitted to the Project Managers for consolidation into the Program Office Master Plan. Set deadlines for the submission of project plans to the Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager for approval. Reviewed plans for completeness and consistency with previously approved plans and provided comments to the Program Manager or his Deputy when changes were required. Analyzed the planning process within PMS411 and recommended changes where serious deficiencies were identified. Assisted program office managers and employees in preparing formal and informal program documentation, including reports, correspondence, review minutes, procurement request, resource justifications, resource management documents – position descriptions, training plans, performance stands and award nominations, and PPBDS documentation including POMs, FYDPs, issue and position papers and POA&Ms. On a regular basis prepared routine, repetitive sections of reports, papers and other documents. Provided administrative management support in a number of different areas, including office services, e.g., establishing and maintaining a technical library, acquiring, inventorying and maintain office supplies and equipment; evaluating office space needs; assisting in the development and revision of mission and function statements; preparing organizational charts; preparing justifications for personnel actions, e.g., promotions, new positions, reclassifications, additional staff, and preparing procurement requests and purchase orders for administrative support, e.g., word processing services. Evaluated the adequacy of clerical and administrative support by interviewing managers and employees and recommends changes in procedures, realignment of staff or other change to improve services.
