  • Victor Canada
Vice-President, Head Of Marketing & Communications
Victor Canada Apr 2017 - Present
    Ottawa, Ontario, Ca
I develop the strategy for initiatives focused on business and marketing transformation, and oversee their effective execution through accuracy, building buy-in and strong project management skills. My deep knowledge of Victor’s business operations and products, combined with strong relationships built on trust, are key to my success in leading transformational change. I also lead the implementation of integrated marketing and communications campaigns that drive growth and increase engagement with clients with a small, but mighty, Canadian team. I apply a coaching mindset to my leadership—and look for team building opportunities both locally and globally wherever possible. Specific initiatives include:• Led the transformation of the Victor Canada marketing team from a department that employed traditional marketing tactics to a streamlined, modern marketing team that focuses on marketing automation, Voice of Customer, data/analytics, and higher value growth initiatives. • Played a key role in the digital transformation of the company by managing/overseeing the development of its key digital assets (from a both a marketing and UX/UI perspective) over a two-year period. • Led the marketing team in Canada in successfully rebranding from ENCON to Victor over a 10-month period with a well-crafted strategy and action plan. • Led the development and execution of the internal communications strategy for the global rollout of the new Victor brand to 850 colleagues in six different operating companies and six countries over a three-month period. • Identified the need and opportunity to outsource Group Benefits sales and client communications to a third-party firm to address the capacity issue within a three-person marketing department. The successful transition of this work has freed up resources to focus on higher value, strategic marketing initiatives that can grow the business.

Also played a leadership role in the management of the company’s risk management program, which included the strategy and execution in developing a new online learning platform with educational courses for clients and brokers and introducing a national webcast as a solution to replace an annual nine-city seminar tour, which achieved a savings of just under $100,000, plus a significant savings in resources.
