I am a Southern California fine artist, art teacher, and fine art sales consultant. I'm known for my large-scale floral oil paintings, my uplifting teaching style, and my knowledgable enthusiasm in educating the public about fine art whether teaching or working in an art gallery. My career as a professional artist spans over 40 years in Hawaii and California, and enables me to thoroughly understand my fellow artists from the inside out. Whether it is my own artwork, or that of other talented artists, I'm devoted to bringing the joy and beauty of art to collectors through viewing and sales. I believe that art is a spiritual experience that nourishes the soul.BackgroundI earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from California State University, Sacramento before moving to Hawaii, where I lived for 32 years. There I was awarded the State Acquisition Award and my work was purchased for Hawaii's permanent collection. I increased sales and classes in several galleries I was part of, along with numerous solo and group exhibits of my own. I was a commissioned artist for interior designer showcase Hawaii Parade of Homes, and was commended by Governor Linda Lingle for my volunteer efforts in art for the Hawaii State Women’s Penitentiary. In 2014, I relocated to Santa Barbara, California, where I taught art and art history through Santa Barbara City College for 5 years, including through zoom when 2020 came. Again, I showed my paintings in solo exhibits at the Faulkner Gallery, Divine Inspiration Gallery of Fine Art, and the Goleta Valley Community Center art exhibit. I was also a featured artist at the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art, Cabrillo Pavilion, the Jewish Community Center, and Corridan Gallery. My move to Coachella Valley in 2021 has been fabulous; most recently working as Sales Consultant for the Artists Council in Palm Desert. I find I love working in a gallery setting, and my natural enthusiasm and sincerity helps assist the public to appreciate wonderful artwork and add to their collections if desired. I feel that art is a spiritual experience that uplifts the soul, and I love being part of its magic!
