Barbara focuses on creating a vibrant consulting experience dedicated to bringing the best in effective leadership and management tools to educational institutions and other not-for-profits. With over 30 years of experience in public and private education, Barbara has successfully led workshops, designed leadership curriculum, trained new personnel, trained trainers, mentored and coached key school administrators, consulted with boards, and helped schools move to more efficient and effective management and to creative new leadership models. In addition to significant school experience, Barbara is a certified Strengths Coach (Gallup), and a certified facilitator of the Immunity to Change process (Kegan) and has completed the certificate program in Change Management from Georgetown University. She has led school initiatives including strategic planning, support services reorganization, creation of appropriately sized human resources functions, over $100M in new construction and renovation. In addition, she has led accreditation visits in four different regions of the country, served on the NAIS board, and presented for many regional associations. Barbara has served educational and not-for-profit institutions for over forty years. She started as a classroom teacher in the public school system and expanded her skills as a program coordinator and executive director in agencies that serve youth. She has subsequently served in senior leadership positions in independent schools for more than 35 years. From 2001-2013, Barb held the position of Vice President of Finance and Administration at Woodward Academy in Georgia. Her other school appointments include The Bush School; The Webb Schools (boarding); and Saint Paul Academy and Summit School.
