I was a substitute teacher in Garland ISD from 2013-2015 as I was worked on my Alternative Teaching Certificate. I taught 6th grade ESL 2017-2018 and had 3 double block classes teaching both English and Reading. I also taught 7th grade Intervention that year. In 2018-2019, I taught 8th Grade ESL which included two sheltered Reading, 2 sheltered English, and 1 double block class. 2019-2020 I will be teaching 8th grade English and a sheltered English class. I am knowledgeable in the Google world using docs, classroom, sheets, forms and slides on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. I know Microsoft Office, use printers daily, and scanners. I have independently written lesson plans for each class I've taught, created a classroom management plan, attended professional development given by my school district and participated in several outside my district. I work well as a team and independently.

I taught 4th grade math for 2 years at Harmony. I had 3 sections of students. The first 45 minutes was spent teaching new material or reteaching material. The second 45 minutes was spend pulling small groups for intervention as the whole group worked on a program called Reasoning Minds or station work. I worked for Brazos River Authority in Waco, TX as a Lab Tech. We performed water quality checks on the northern Brazos River Basin. These tests include: Total Suspended Solids, Total Dissolved Solids, TKN/TP, Chlorophyll-a, and Anions. Responsible for recording data on paper and inputting into the computer database for use across the Authority. I worked independently and as a group in the lab and with other departments within the Authority.

I have 3 years of experience working at Cameron Park Zoo, in Waco, TX, as a keeper in their aviaries. I was in charge of all the birds in the aviaries, as well as some small mammal species. In this job I made diets and cleaned the exhibits daily, created enrichment, gave medical care, and cross-trained with other departments. I worked closely with the education department and did behind the scenes tours, education talks to the public, and spend the night at the zoo educational field trips. I interacted with the public on a daily basis and was responsible for helping maintain a positive experience for all visitors, animals and staff.

I worked for College Station Medical Center in College Station, TX for 3 years after graduating college. I worked with the front office staff making appointments, filing medical records, making copies and faxing records to other offices as needed. I worked with the back office staff as a Medical Asst. and took patient vitals, history of illness, and eventually worked for a specific Family Practice/Ob/Gyn Physician. In this role I was in charge of patient care with jobs such as injections, making followup appointments, medication refills, and all patient relations activities. As a part of the team, I was one of the members in charge of training the staff on the new database that installed on the computers.
