• Serve as team lead- filling in for Assistant Director in her absence• Review work completed by Compensation Analysts and Personnel Analyst 1• Complete reorganization reviews and complex compensation reviews for campus departments. • Complete Compensation studies for new and existing positions and determine whether exempt or non-exempt under FLSA• Analyze existing positions and incumbents for equity increases• Review promotion requests to determine change in duties and appropriate compensation, title, and job profile• Complete reclassification studies for non-exempt positions including conducting job audits and comparing duties to state class specifications• Analyze requests to edit vacant positions to determine job profile, salary, and title• Review stipend requests to ensure duties are outside of the incumbent’s current position and to determine the proper compensation for additional work• Develop relationships with Business Managers in campus departments and assist with compensation inquires and process questions• Conduct research on external peer data• Analyze requests for accelerated salaries at hire • Review requests for temporary adjustments to pay• Write reports to describe HR recommendations and explain reasoning • Track reviews using spreadsheets and google sheets• Participate in university-wide administrative faculty project to create position templates and career streams• Represent UNLV HR on a project to create a new class specification for Building Automation and to revise state class specifications for Dental Assistants• Develop and present trainings on Classification and Compensation processes• Researched compensation and classification issues using the NAC, NRS, DHRM website, and Board of Regents Handbook to ensure compliance
