Barbara Hill has held top leadership positions and board seats with large, mid-sized and emerging public and private companies across many healthcare industry verticals. She is known for positioning companies for accelerated growth both organically and through M&A, solving intractable problems in turnaround situations, building high-performing teams, and expertise in the payor industry. Barbara serves on the boards of publicly-traded companies Integra LifeSciences (medical technology), where she is the Lead Director, and Omega Healthcare Investors (health care REIT). She currently is the healthcare Operating Partner for NexPhase Capital Partners (formerly Moelis Capital Partners), a private equity firm targeting investments in leading middle market, growth-oriented companies. Hill focuses on decisions about new healthcare investments as well as the management of current healthcare portfolio companies. She sits on the boards of the portfolio companies, chairing the majority of them.Barbara previously held executive positions and board seats including: CEO and board member of FHC Health Systems and ValueOptions (managed behavioral health); President and board member of Express Scripts (pharmacy benefits management); and head of national operations for Cigna HealthCare (managed care and insurance). She previously served on the boards of St. Jude Medical (medical devices), Owens & Minor (healthcare logistics), Revera Living (seniors' facilities in Canada and England), and Rotech Healthcare (home health equipment and services), and held senior executive leadership positions with Rush Prudential Health Plans, Aetna Health Plans, Prudential Insurance Company of America, and the Johns Hopkins Health System.She has served with industry groups and government public policy committees. She holds M.S. and B.S. degrees (Phi Beta Kappa) from the Johns Hopkins University.
