A global architecture/engineering firm. Responsible for supervising and leading a staff of 3 full-time Accounts Receivable Technicians. Assist the accountants and controllers of over 150 division offices with any Accounts Receivable issues that arise. Upload Accounts Receivable information for newly acquired businesses. Monthly balancing between Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Projects. Oversee the application of all monies received, for both invoicing as well as any payments required to be journalled directly to the General Ledger. Oversee all Accounts Receivable maintenance transactions. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all Accounts Receivable reports and queries. Prepare Accounts Receivable work papers for auditors.

Responsible for supervising and leading a staff of four full-time billing representatives, one part-time account specialist and one health information coordinator. Daily/weekly/monthly billing of services and products to various insurance companies and patients. Process appropriate enrollment paperwork to establish new contracts with insurance companies and different state Medicaid programs. Prepare and analyze multiple reports to determine revenue, profitability, cash collections throughout the month and at month/year end. Establish procedures for branch level reimbursement processes. Assist with the aging and collection of payments with both insurance companies and patients. Establish payment arrangements with patients who are unable to pay balances in a timely manner. Work with Nursing and Pharmacy departments to assure all services are billed by the end of the month. Process Improvement committee member.

Responsible for analysis of Lead Generation-Print campaigns. Determines market selection for both Life and Health campaigns. Report on response of both Life and Health campaigns. Prepare budgets for all Print campaigns. Report on status of Print area campaigns to budget. Reconcile costs to General Ledger. Communication Team committee member.

Responsible for general accounting, bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliations for the Council Bluffs newspaper, as well as four western Iowa newspapers. Prepare and process month-end and quarterly financials for all five newspapers, including the Accounting, Advertising and Circulation departments. Prepare initial monthly Purchase Plans for each department within the Council Bluffs newspaper. Prepare weekly Flash files for each of the five newspapers. Assist in monitoring departmental expenses to budgeted expenses.

Prepare payroll/H.R.I.S. information for PayChex and process essential journal entries. Assist CPA firm with annual tax returns.
