A proven community leader working to bring fresh leadership to the Laguna Hills City Council. We have the same 5 council members today who were elected in 1991--nearly 20 years is too long! That's why I am also chair of the Laguna Hills Term Limits Initiative Committee. We need to increase citizen participation, starting with an independent planning commission; create transparency in city council doings--no more stealth budget items like a $60M car, not budgeted, for the city manager who already makes over $400M a year in salary and benefits; broadcast or stream meetings; stop wasteful spending and focus on citizen needs like services for senior citizens and humane animal services, such as all our neighbor cities provide. We need to create a hassle-free, welcoming business environment and stop micro-managing small business. None of this will happen without term limits.
