The Senior Data and Analytics Officer collaborates with senior Development, Accounting, and Operations staff to improve and grow a healthy data management system by developing, implementing, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of recording donations including gift processing, data entry, donor acknowledgments, pledge management, appropriate record documentation, and all reconciliation processes for donations.• Supervise Data Specialists with all daily functions for gift recording. • Partner with annual fund/membership to streamline donation processing using ACME and Raiser’s Edge. Work collaboratively to enhance reporting outcomes. • Provide oversight to Guest Sales Associate Manager for appropriate integration, reconciliation, and proper tracking of all gifts, including annual fund and memberships recorded in ACME. • Coordinate with Donor Relations Officer to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate donor acknowledgment. • Collaborate with accounting monthly to ensure accurate monthly reconciliation of all gifts including reconciling all system integrations. • Develop and maintain department wide policies and procedures for gift receiving, recording, entry and storage in compliance with IRS, PCI compliance, and audit standards. • Ensure general database record maintenance to maintain data integrity. • Create, run, and distribute information in the form of queries, exports, and reports for data in response to internal customers. Internal customers include leadership, major gifts, corporate officer, planned giving, grants, events, annual fund/membership, accounting, and donor relations. • Provide analysis and expertise in best practices of all gift recording functions. Implementation of creative solutions that improve efficiency and produce accurate and beneficial output.

Greater Detroit Area

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Coordinator of Data and Gift Processing supervises and coordinates all functions related to gift processing operations. This includes data entry, gift processing, acknowledgement of gifts, and account assignment. The Coordinator of Data and Gift Processing works closely with external donors, senior Philanthropy staff, department managers/administrators, fund accounting, and support staff to ensure proper documentation and management of gifts. Develops, tests and implements data tracking processes to produce desired financial reports or other relevant data outputs (labels, mail merges, lists, etc.)Writes queries, exports and reports based upon complex customer criteria. Research and resolve gift discrepancies, perform necessary gift adjustments within Raiser’s Edge and communicate changes to Finance for fund reconciliation.Gathers information, coordinates and manages the design and mailing of monthly donor newsletters.
